The company is entering a period of rapid growth with future plans to increase our company to 32 dancers. As a result of this, an opportunity has arisen to expand our busy production wardrobe department. We seek an experienced and energetic wardrobe assistant who will assist the Wardrobe Manager with constructing, altering and fitting costumes, along with duties associated with the day to day running of the department, including buying and sourcing fabrics, fitting shoes etc. The successful candidate will have experience in working with dancers and ballet costumes, including cutting, tailoring, tutu making, fitting, dyeing, knowledge of dancers' footwear and occasional millinery. There is some evening work during performance seasons, and touring opportunities. Position expected to begin as soon as possible. Salary applied according to experience, plus 9% employer superannuation contribution.
